The Delmarva Shorebirds made it look easy and are heading to the Round 2.

They have ousted the Kannapolis Intimidators in a sweep, the final win coming by a 1-0 score, clinching the 3-0 series win.

"Everything's clicking for us right now," said Elwiin Gelderblom, who was named MVP for the series.

Gelderblom hit .429 with a .467 on-base percentage. He added 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Delmarva Shorebirds don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Greenville Drive - Asheville Tourists series. Asheville leads the series 2 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
