Cincinnati (DSL) Reds starter José Vela was on his game, helping his team beat the Pittsburgh (DSL) Pirates 1, 8-2. Vela, now 2-2, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 9, walking 1, and allowing no runs. With the win, Cincinnati (DSL) pushed its record to 38-28.
