In a low-scoring tilt between the Cincinnati (DSL) Rojos and the Houston 1 (DSL) Astros Blue, Eddie Scott was the difference-maker. The Cincinnati (DSL) right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Cincinnati (DSL) reliever Steve Adams picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Alfredo Vásquez took the loss. The win for the Rojos raised their record to 37-29.

With the game on the line, Johnny Barker came to bat in the bottom of the ninth. And the Cincinnati (DSL) third baseman came through, cracking a run-scoring single off Rhett Mullen, the Houston 1 (DSL) pitcher.
