|
Minnesota (DSL) turned a good effort from starter Tony Flores into a win over the Miami (DSL) Marlins at Academia de Prospecto Complex. The final score was 5-1. The winning pitcher was Flores, now 4-3. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 4. The slumping Marlins have lost 6 straight.
With runs few and far between, the Twins had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Minnesota (DSL) came in the top of the eighth inning, when pinch hitter Steve Collins delivered a 3-run home run.
