Starting pitcher Tomás Costello pitched well enough to help the Miami (DSL) Marlins beat the Texas (DSL) Rangers, 6-3. Yes, it was a win for Miami (DSL); but their 20-43 record is still nothing to boast about.

It could have been a different outcome for Miami (DSL), had it not been for Sergio Cortés, the 20-year old right fielder . Cortés contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Miami (DSL) up, 4-3.
