The performance of Dan Mason proved critical in helping Minnesota (DSL) beat Arizona (DSL), 4-2. The Twins left fielder was 3-4 with 3 singles. Juan Méndez, now 5-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3.1 innings. With the win, the Twins hiked their record to 41-24.

Steve Marks had a big 2-run home run for the Twins in the bottom of the first inning. With Minnesota (DSL) leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Sergio Bernard and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 9th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Twins ahead, 3-0.
