Jesús Ruíz made an impact in the 4-1 Detroit (DSL) win over Arizona (DSL). Ruíz, who leads the DSL with a .523 batting average, was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Detroit (DSL) reliever César Deleón picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Dave Lee took the loss. Ed Mobley notched his 3rd save of the season.

Detroit (DSL) used the timely hitting of Bob Lewis to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Tigers on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Arizona (DSL) manager Audo Vicente.

The Tigers bumped their record to 40-23 with this win.
