Big Day for Osborne in 10-5 Royals Win
The Kansas City (DSL) Royals topped the Washington (DSL) Nationals, 10-5, with youngster Gil Osborne playing a key role. Osborne went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 6 for the Royals in the win. António Díaz, now 3-1, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 4 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. Del Jacobs notched his 11th save in 11 chances.

Kansas City (DSL) left fielder César López contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a cutter into left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 23rd hit of the season and put the Royals ahead, 5-3.

"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Kansas City (DSL) manager Jim Brennan.

The second-place Royals have won 4 straight.
