Rockies Take It on Chin, Lose, 13-0, to New York N 2 (DSL)
José Guillén of the New York N 2 (DSL) Mets 2 spun his magic on the Colorado (DSL) Rockies today. He blanked them 13-0 on 3 hits, registering 13 strikeouts and 3 walks.

"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Guillén said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."

Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, New York N 2 (DSL) skipper Phillip Wellman said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations."

"José pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said.

This season Guillén has gone 9-1 with an ERA of 2.79, posting 91 strikeouts in 71 innings.
