Soggy conditions did not keep Baltimore (DSL) and Cincinnati (DSL) from playing their scheduled game.

The Baltimore (DSL) Orioles 2 downed the Cincinnati (DSL) Reds, 6-0, at Baseball City Complex. Stellar pitching by Cal Jackson had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 6th in the DSL with a 0.97 WHIP, handcuffed his opponent all game. Jackson picked up the win for Baltimore (DSL), going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 1 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2.

Reggie Challis took Cincinnati (DSL) hurler Jorge Rentería deep in the bottom of the fifth. His 2-run home run put the Orioles 2 on top, 2-0. In all, Challis had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
