The Pittsburgh (DSL) Pirates 1 overcame a pretty good performance by Toronto (DSL) first baseman Sean McQueen, beating the Blue Jays, 9-5, at Toronto Blue Jays Complex. McQueen went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win puts Pittsburgh (DSL) at 39-22 this season.

Pittsburgh (DSL) center fielder Kevin Blevins contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the seventh. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 11th hit of the season and put the Pirates 1 ahead, 7-5.
