Hill, Mariners March to 8-4 Victory
The DSL Mariners topped the DSL Twins, 8-4, at Baseball City Complex. DSL designated hitter Jeff Hill was a spark plug for the offense. He was 4 for 6 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. José Ramírez, the winner, is now 1-1. He struck out 10 and walked 2 over 6.1 innings, while allowing 1 run on 3 hits. Dan Leonard, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 14th save.

With DSL leading 4-1 in the top of the seventh, Hill hit a fastball from José Medina for a grand slam home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Mariners ahead, 8-1.

Hill told the DSL Chronicle: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
