Reds Shut Out Marlins, 4-0

The Cincinnati (DSL) Reds got a stellar effort from pitcher Juan Jose Deleón, helping Cincinnati (DSL) score a win over the visiting Miami (DSL) Marlins, 4-0. Deleón got the win, improving to 1-1. He gave up 4 hits and walked 4 over 6.2 innings. He allowed no runs. Joe Sanders was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
The Reds got a big at-bat from second baseman Kevin Patrick. For the game, Patrick was 1 for 2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Cincinnati (DSL) a 3-0 lead.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Deleón.
The defeat makes Miami (DSL) 19-39.
