The Houston 1 (DSL) Astros Blue welcomed the Philadelphia (DSL) Phillies to an night game at Houston Astros Complex Orange.

Behind the hitting of Ken Farmer, the Houston 1 (DSL) Astros Blue defeated the Philadelphia (DSL) Phillies, 9-6. Farmer was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Astros Blue. Tim Wheeler nailed down the save.

With Houston 1 (DSL) trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the first, Farmer hit a slider from Del Talbert for a grand slam home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Astros Blue ahead, 5-3.

Farmer said the win provided a "big morale boost" for the team. "There's a good feeling in the clubhouse right now."

The Astros Blue improved to a lofty 40-17.
