Guardians Come Back Late, Nip Tigers
Cleveland (DSL) Guardians starter Quincy Hickman found his groove in his team's 4-3 win over the Detroit (DSL) Tigers. Cleveland (DSL) reliever Juan Rodríguez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Kevin Corrigan took the loss. Ty Allen sewed up the save, his 7th.

Curt Sorensen, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2025 draft, helped out the Cleveland (DSL) cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring strikeout. For the game, the first baseman was 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.

Cleveland (DSL) manager Jordy Mercer was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
