Cubs Win in Glorious Fashion, 7-5
Nate Simms had a good game, but he could not keep the Cincinnati (DSL) Rojos from falling, 7-5, to the Chicago N (DSL) Cubs at Baseball City Complex. The Cincinnati (DSL) center fielder went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 in the loss. The win went to Bob Collins in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Andy O'Brian took the loss. Chicago N (DSL) is now 25-32, Cincinnati (DSL) 33-24.

The decisive blow was delivered by Mario García in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 19-year old right-handed pitcher Andy O'Brian to win the game for Chicago N (DSL). The home crowd went nuts.

"Drama and more drama," said Cubs manager Andy Haines. "That's baseball at its finest."
