Victory Pushes Twins Record to 38-21
|
The Minnesota (DSL) Twins had to overcome a big game from Cincinnati (DSL) second baseman Jon Rhodes to leave Baseball City Complex with a victory. And they did, winning 5-3. Rhodes belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Minnesota (DSL) reliever Alfredo Romero picked up the win, raising his record to 5-2. Rob Miller was tagged with the loss. Lou Plummer recorded his 2nd save for Minnesota (DSL).
Bilgin Cebesoy had a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the bases loaded, the Minnesota (DSL) starting pitcher hit a 2-run single. It made the score 4-3, and led to the win.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Cebesoy said.
The third-place Twins now have a 5-game winning streak.
