The DSL Cubs could not turn a fine performance from designated hitter Jon Taylor into a win. Instead, the DSL Marlins prevailed, 4-3. Taylor went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 times. Pepe Rodríguez earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 3.1 innings. His record is now 3-0. The win has DSL at 11-34.

DSL used the clutch hitting of José Rosales to snag the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Marlins ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
