Soggy conditions did not keep DSL and DSL from playing their scheduled game.

The DSL Mets licked the DSL Yankees, 9-0. Tony Ryan deserved a big chunk of the credit. The designated hitter went 4 for 5 with 4 singles and a walk. He scored 3 times for the Mets. With the win, the Mets have a record of 29-19.

DSL used a clutch at-bat from Doug Spencer to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Mets ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We understand we didn't play our best baseball," said losing manager Joel Noboa. "We'll shower it off and be ready to compete."
