Orioles 2 Get 6-5 Win Versus Cincinnati (DSL)
Though he had a terrific game, Arturo González could not prevent his team, the Cincinnati (DSL) Rojos, from absorbing a loss. Baltimore (DSL) won the game, 6-5. González was 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The win belonged to Iván Sáenz in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Steve Gaines took the loss for Cincinnati (DSL). Earning his 6th save for Baltimore (DSL) was Stan Patrick.

The Orioles 2 got a big boost from third baseman Manny Salinas who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Rojos hurler Steve Gaines. It was his 13th walk of the season and put Baltimore (DSL) on top, 1-0.

Salinas told reporters after the game: "This one was touch and go, but we were able to put it in the win column."

The setback makes Cincinnati (DSL) 29-18.
