Mason Throws 4-Hitter En Route to 7-1 Thunder Win
The skies opened up and the rain fell at Arm & Hammer Park.

The Trenton Thunder got a marvelous performance from pitcher Brad Mason. The left-hander kept the Portland offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 7-1 Trenton victory at Arm & Hammer Park. The loss drops the Portland record to a disappointing 10-14.

Mason, a native of Fontana, California, was dealing all game. He kept Portland hitters off-balance, while giving the Thunder 9 quality innings. Mason threw 109 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 9.

"We've got a great group of guys," Mason said, "and we're having fun right now."
