The Los Angeles (DSL) Dodgers and Miami (DSL) Marlins left the fans buzzing.

Boosted by the 4-hit performance of Daniel Yan, who is tied for 9th in the DSL with a 1.125 OPS, the Miami (DSL) Marlins defeated the Los Angeles (DSL) Dodgers, 6-2. José Ortega, who went 5 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 3 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 9. His record now stands at 3-2. Juan Pagán earned the save for Miami (DSL), his 2nd of the year.

Miami (DSL) left fielder Tony Robertson contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a circle change to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 7th hit of the season and put the Marlins ahead, 2-0.

"I think every team will tell you that the pitching sets the tone, especially the starters," said Miami (DSL) skipper Raymond Nunez.

The win gives the Marlins a record of 14-31.
