Despite a fine performance by catcher Israhel Behrendt, the New York A 2 (DSL) Yankees 2 lost to the Houston 2 (DSL) Astros Orange, 4-3. Behrendt went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Juan Cervantes, who threw 112 pitches over 6 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 7 hits. The Astros Orange go to 9-37 with the win.

Houston 2 (DSL) used a well-timed hit by Alex Jones to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Astros Orange ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
