New York N (DSL) second baseman Shawn Simons collected 5 ribbies while his team bumped off the New York A 2 (DSL) Yankees 2, 7-5, in 10 innings. Simons had a game-changing double in the top of the tenth. On a 1-1 sinker from Kyoichi Matsumoto, he banged a 2-run double to left, giving the Mets 1 a 7-5 lead. It was the 15th double of the year for Simons.

"A lot to like, just frustrated that we came up short," said New York A 2 (DSL) manager Joel Noboa.

The winning streak has now reached 10 games for the Mets 1.
