Manuel Lifts Diamondbacks to 8-2 Win

António Manuel was a major factor in the 8-2 Arizona (DSL) win over Texas (DSL). The Diamondbacks center fielder went 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while scoring 4. Stan Bailey earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 4.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Arizona (DSL) now has a 3-game win streak.
José Gómez had a big 2-run double for the Diamondbacks in the bottom of the second inning. With Arizona (DSL) leading 3-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a cutter from Greg Anderson and swatted a double to left. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Diamondbacks ahead, 5-0.
In comments to the Arizona (DSL) Observer, Manuel insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
