Sergio Cortés had an impact in the 11-4 Miami (DSL) win over Toronto (DSL). The 19-year old right fielder belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Miami (DSL) pitcher Víctor Ríos got the win. He's now 1-1. Cristo Garza was tagged with the loss. The triumph makes Miami (DSL) 9-22.

Miami (DSL) used a clutch at-bat from Brendan Flannery to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Marlins ahead, 5-3. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
