The Chicago A (DSL) White Sox stopped the New York N 2 (DSL) Mets 2, 6-4, behind an impressive performance from Ron Ford. The 24-year old right fielder made life miserable for New York N 2 (DSL) pitching. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Chris Hubbard was called on to finish, recording his 3rd save. The White Sox bumped their record to 19-11 with this latest triumph.

Orlando Patino aided the Chicago A (DSL) cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. For the game, the third baseman was 2-4 with 2 singles, while scoring 2 times.
