The San Francisco (DSL) Giants defeated the Miami (DSL) Marlins, 3-2, at Rawling Foundation Complex. San Francisco (DSL) second baseman Rubén Vargas had a superb performance. He was 2 for 4 with a double and was hit by a pitch. Despite the win, the Giants have a lousy 8-16 record.

Sean Seals was the walk-off hero for San Francisco (DSL). With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Giants right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Seals, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
