Cardinals Turn Back Brewers, 3-2

The St. Louis (DSL) Cardinals picked up a win at Las Américas Complex, knocking off the Milwaukee (DSL) Brewers, 3-2. Starting pitcher Ben Williams was an essential part of his team's success. Williams got the win, improving to 2-4. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Williams allowed 2 runs. Juan Ángel closed the door for St. Louis (DSL), picking up his 2nd save of the year.
Dave Ingram had a big 3-run home run for the Cardinals in the bottom of the first inning. With St. Louis (DSL) trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from Stu Adams and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cardinals ahead, 3-1.
Afterward, Cardinals manager was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
St. Louis (DSL) is now 10-14, Milwaukee (DSL) 17-7.
