Ezequiel Cerqueora was instrumental in his team's 7-1 triumph over the Pittsburgh (DSL) Pirates 1. The right fielder went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Houston 1 (DSL) Astros Blue. Houston 1 (DSL) reliever António Vázquez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. José Alou took the loss. The Astros Blue boast a remarkable 17-4 record.

Cerqueora had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a first pitch curveball from José Alou, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Astros Blue a 3-0 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Cerqueora.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Pittsburgh (DSL) manager Pedro Swann.
