Young Rips 2 Home Runs in 7-3 Yankees 2 Triumph
Yankees 2 first baseman Brendan Young left his imprint on his team's 7-3 win over the Seattle (DSL) Mariners. Young went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for New York A 2 (DSL) in the contest. The save was credited to Steve Murphy, his 1st. The win elevated the Yankees 2 to 12-11.

The Yankees 2 got a big at-bat from center fielder Sam Morehead. For the game, Morehead went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave New York A 2 (DSL) a 4-3 lead.
