The Oakland (DSL) Athletics thumped the Miami (DSL) Marlins, 8-2, at Juan Marichal Complex. Randy Long was a big reason his team got the win. Long belted 3 home runs, while adding 8 RBI and scoring three times. The victory gives Oakland (DSL) a record of 11-7.

Early in the game, Long had a grand slam home run for Oakland (DSL). It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Athletics on top, 4-0.
