Rojos Absorb 8-5 Loss at Atlanta Braves Complex
The Cincinnati (DSL) Rojos got a superb performance from pitcher Ernie Thompson, but the Atlanta (DSL) Firebirds still won the game, 8-5. Thompson threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball. Bob McCarty recorded the save, his 2nd. Atlanta (DSL), now 8-11, holds down 4th place in the San Pedro de Macoris Division.

Bob Anderson hit a 2-run double off Eric Walsh in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Firebirds in front, 6-5. In addition to the double, Anderson had 1 single and 2 walks, while going 2 for 2.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Blake Wood said.
