Baseball fans saw a good contest between the New York N (DSL) Mets 1 and Pittsburgh (DSL) Pirates 1.

The New York N (DSL) Mets 1 got a stellar performance from pitcher Ricky Sorensen, who handcuffed the Pittsburgh (DSL) offense en route to a win, 3-1, at Pittsburgh Pirates Complex. Pat Manning got the save, the 1st for him this season.

Sorensen scattered 2 hits over 7 innings for the Mets 1. Now 3-0, Sorensen has struck out 24 this season.

"Not enough offensively in a winnable game," said losing manager Pedro Swann.

The win elevated the Mets 1 to 13-6.
