Texas (DSL) first baseman Kevin Franklin made his presence felt in the 10-4 Rangers triumph over the New York A 2 (DSL) Yankees 2. Franklin was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. New York A 2 (DSL), at 3-10, is off to a poor start in 2025.

Erik Cain had a big 3-run home run for the Rangers in the bottom of the third inning. With Texas (DSL) leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he sized up a fastball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Bret Adams and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Rangers on top, 6-0.

"It was a solid team effort," said Franklin after the game.
