Marks Hits Two Dingers, Twins Win, 11-4
The Minnesota (DSL) Twins beat the Washington (DSL) Nationals, 11-4, at Baseball City Complex. The win was due in part to second baseman Steve Marks, who went 4-4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. The winning pitcher was José Romero. His record is now 1-0. The right-hander went 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits for the Twins. The win puts Minnesota (DSL) at 5-1.

Dave Brewer had a big 2-run home run for the Twins in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Minnesota (DSL) leading 4-2 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Dan Morris and swatted a home run to right. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Twins ahead, 6-2.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Brewer. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
