The DSL Mets had to overcome a good performance from DSL pitcher José Uribe to claim a 2-1 win at New York Mets Complex. Uribe went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. António Flores came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 5 hits in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Eugenio López got the save, the 1st for him this season.

DSL took a 2-0 lead on Bob Searle's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Searle hit in the bottom of the eighth, left DSL pitcher Jim Williams visibly frustrated.

"The other side played a good game," said DSL manager Jesus Sucre. "You tip your cap to them."

The win gives DSL a record of 3-2.
