DSL got a terrific performance from pitcher Tomás Morín, but it wasn't enough to beat the DSL Astros. DSL won the Baseball City Complex contest, 3-2. Morín threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. The win was credited to 20-year old left-handed pitcher Juan López in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Steve Hood took the loss. DSL goes to 1-2.

DSL used a timely hit from Manny Flores to get the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Astros ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

After the game, DSL manager Matt Summers applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
