Cubs Rack Up 7-6 Win Versus DSL
The DSL Cubs put one in the win column on Opening Day at Baseball City Complex. The Cubs defeated the DSL Astros, 7-6. DSL third baseman Doug Stone was instrumental in his team's success. He went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3.

Stone had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-1 fastball from José Díaz, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Cubs a 6-5 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Stone.

"It was sure nice to get the win but there's a lot of baseball left," Stone after the game.
