Rangers Lose, 7-4, at Baseball City Complex
The Cincinnati (DSL) Rojos picked up a win, 7-4, over the Texas (DSL) Rangers at Baseball City Complex. Lou Sweeney led the charge. The Ocean Acres, New Jersey native was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Cincinnati (DSL). The winner in relief was Kevin Payne. He is now 1-0. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Picking up the save was Juan Camacho, his 2nd.

Sweeney had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 3-1 fastball from Damian Brown, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Rojos a 6-4 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Sweeney.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Sweeney. "I think we're going to keep proving that."

With the loss, Texas (DSL) is 1-2.
