Guardians Fall Short, 3-2, at Houston 2 (DSL)
Houston Astros Blue was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Houston 2 (DSL) Astros Orange and Cleveland (DSL) Guardians.

The Cleveland (DSL) Guardians got a superb performance from pitcher César Martínez, but the Houston 2 (DSL) Astros Orange still won the game, 3-2. Martínez threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Álex Mateo recorded the save for Houston 2 (DSL), his 1st of the season.

Houston 2 (DSL) catcher Steve McLaughlin helped the Astros Orange go up, 2-1, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, McLaughlin hit a run-scoring single off Cleveland (DSL) pitcher Jim Unknown.

McLaughlin said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.

With the loss, Cleveland (DSL) drops to 2-1.
