García Blasts Athletics, Reds Take Game 4, 11-4
The Cincinnati (AZL) Reds and the Oakland (AZL) Athletics will take the Round 1 to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation, the Reds beat the Athletics, 11-4, at Papago Park Sports Facility to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Cincinnati (AZL) second baseman Julián García went 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4.

In the top of the fifth, Cincinnati (AZL) center fielder Don Bailey had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Bailey stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 6-3, Cincinnati (AZL). For the game, he went 1-5.

"I like how we're playing right now," said Bailey.
