In a low-scoring tilt between the DSL Twins and the DSL Angels, 16-year old right-handed pitcher António Blanco was the difference-maker. The DSL right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Jesús Quiñones collected his 1st save. DSL, now 2-0, is setting the league on fire so far.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Twins had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when third baseman Juan Chávez hit a 2-run single. The single came off Héctor Montaño and made the score 3-0, Twins. Chávez went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Blanco.
