The 3-hit performance of Víctor Hernández helped the DSL Pirates beat the DSL Hammers, 3-2. Jorge Pérez came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Earning his 2nd save of the year was José Berrios.

With DSL leading 2-1 in the top of the eighth, Hernández hit a run-scoring single off DSL hurler Alex Weaver. It was the 3rd hit of the season for Hernández and put his team ahead, 3-1.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said DSL skipper Pedro Swann. "I can't complain."

With the loss, DSL sinks to 0-2.
