Los Angeles A (AZL) beat Milwaukee (AZL) in a rain-soaked ballgame.

The Los Angeles A (AZL) Angels weathered a fine game by Milwaukee (AZL) pinch hitter Kieran Salinas to upend the Brewers, 8-6, at Tempe Diablo Stadium. Salinas went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Los Angeles A (AZL) pitcher Mal Wilson got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Jerry Ross got the loss.

Had Josh Phillips not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Phillips hit a 2-run single. That made the score 8-6, in favor of the Angels.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Angels manager Brandon Phillips. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."

The win gives the Angels a record of 14-33.
