|
Cleveland designated hitter Jerry King was a significant contributor in his team's 6-2 triumph over the Cincinnati Reds. He was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Guardians. Chasen Shreve earned the save, his 5th, for the Guardians. The Guardians improved their record to 23-25 with the win over Cincinnati.
Early in the game, King had a 2-run home run for Cleveland. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Guardians on top, 2-0.
"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Cleveland skipper Tristan Bugbie.
