River Bandits Send Clinton Home with 7-5 Loss
The Quad Cities River Bandits overcame a pretty good performance by Clinton right fielder Chris Wemyss, beating the LumberKings, 7-5, at Modern Woodmen Park. Wemyss went 3-5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Juan Jose Disanti earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. His record is now 8-1. Ben Campbell sewed up the save, his 31st.

Quad Cities took a 6-5 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Kevin Hickman hit a clutch grand slam home run to bring River Bandits fans to their feet.

"I like our moxie," said River Bandits manager Takanobu Sato.

The Quad Cities win streak is now 3 games.
