Quad Cities beat Burlington at Community Field, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to designated hitter Shawn Hatfield. He went 2 for 3 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. Quad Cities reliever José Salinas picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Angelo Tanguy was saddled with the loss. With the win, Quad Cities raised its record to 69-68.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Luis Villarreal? The Quad Cities center fielder had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put the River Bandits on top, 3-1. For the game, Villarreal had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
