Good production from second baseman Héctor Rivera helped the Quad Cities River Bandits topple the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, 8-2. Rivera was 3-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the River Bandits. Jerry Stevenson earned the save, his 4th. Quad Cities is now 68-68, while Wisconsin is 63-73.

With Quad Cities leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Rivera hit a fastball from Rob Castle for a 2-run home run. It was his 19th home run of the season and put the River Bandits ahead, 5-2.

"They just got us," said Wisconsin manager Matt Walbeck, "and that's all I can say."
