Lugo Helps Bowling Green Cruise to 11-3 Win
The Bowling Green Hot Rods handed the Lansing Lugnuts a sound defeat, 11-3, at Cooley Law School Stadium. José Lugo, who is tied for 4th in the MID in stolen bases with 15, was a main contributor to the win. He went 4 for 6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for Bowling Green. Bowling Green is now 74-62, Lansing 69-67.

Ben Ackerman had a big 2-run double for the Hot Rods in the top of the fifth inning. With Bowling Green leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a screwball from Bob Davis and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 20th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hot Rods ahead, 4-0.

"We were able to put some runs on the board," said Ackerman after the game.
